Mississippi Gulf Coast - 6 months after Katrina

Took a drive along the Mississippi Gulf Coast on Saturday. While New Orleans got wiped out by flooding from burst levees, Mississippi's coast got smashed by Katrina's eye. (Click on a pic to make it bigger)

Here we have the remnants of a gas station.

Not exactly sure what this used to be.

Only the 'E' remains at this Waffle House.

This used to be part of a big casino.

Guess the signs are stronger than the buildings.

Buildings all gone here, but this Waffle House's sign was particularly tenacious.

Wonder what it was...

We drove though miles and miles and miles of this devastation.
